For those who are potentially a good fit for our firm, there is no cost or obligation to go through the “Sleep on It” process. We operate with complete transparency and want you to understand how we can help you before entrusting us with your nest egg or paying us a single dollar in fees.

Step 1 – Initial Phone Meeting

Before committing your time or ours, this 15-minute phone call enables us to explore whether your situation matches our expertise.

If we find we are not a good fit for each other, we will gladly introduce you to a firm who is better suited to address your needs.

Step 2 – First Office Meeting

The purpose of this meeting is to gain clarity on your goals, concerns, and unique financial situation.

By answering our questions and providing all requested documents, we analyze your financial position and pinpoint solutions to four critical questions.

Step 3 – Our Analysis

This is where the magic happens!

We apply our decades of experience and thousands of hours of training and mentoring by the industry’s top experts to answer these questions:

Are you on track to achieve your financial goals?
Are you overpaying your taxes?
Can your portfolio be improved?
Can you eliminate, or reduce, threats to your retirement and future financial independence?

Step 4 – Second Office Meeting

Here the proverbial rubber hits the road.

During this meeting, we provide detailed answers to the four questions and outline the path to achieving your financial goals. You gain insight into your current financial situation and see, in dollars and cents, how our firm can improve your position.

Upon conclusion of this meeting, we will ask if you would like to begin working with our firm or if you would like to sleep on it.

Step 5 – Sleep on It

We have worked in the Valley of the Sun for more than 20 years and are in no rush for you to make a decision. In considering whether we should work together, we encourage prospective clients to answer the following questions:

Do I like/trust/respect the team at Montlake Financial?
Will the benefits they provide exceed their cost?
Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
Do their recommendations make sense to me?

Step 6 – Third Meeting/Paperwork

At this time, we address any outstanding questions. If you are ready, we initiate the paperwork to begin our partnership.

Prior to this meeting, you will have received a detailed explanation of this process and answers to previous questions and/or concerns. This simply gives you another opportunity to seek additional information and gain peace of mind.
